Using BIM Good Practices and Trimble Technology

In September 2019, Teknoxgroup enabled the representatives of DRI upravljanje investicij d.o.o. (DRI Investment Management company) to visit Belgrade, Serbia, in order to observe the good practice of using the BIM approach (Building Information Management) at the construction site of the Belgrade Waterfront project, which envisages the construction of residential, commercial and green areas along the Sava River.

Aleksandar Joksimović of Teknoxgroup introduced the Trimble technology to the participants in more detail. The Trimble technology enables managing construction machinery with the help of modern technologies (GPS control of machines). Using GPS guidance on construction machinery reduces both construction time and material consumption as well as it increases the accuracy of construction. The system provides the data on the position and direction of the machine in real time, allowing for faster construction. The representatives could see in a practical example how the technology works in spreading out soil, where the machine operator follows on-screen information about the current state and the planned project and manages the machine accordingly.
