This is the sixth year in a row that House of Experiments organized "Znanstival". The festival is becoming a constant introduction to the summer events in the capital city. Rich festival program took place in Ljubljana’s downtown where main happening concentrated on bridges of the Ljubljanica river, squares and city streets. The main event of this year’s Znanstival was a spectacular bicycle ride across Ljubljanica. This event was introduced for the first time on last year’s festival. Once again the wire across the Cobblers' Bridge was strained by two Caterpillar excavators (M315D in M316D) lend by the company Teknoxgroup d.o.o., which is the official representative of Caterpillar machinery for Slovenia. Learning centre Novo Mesto in cooperation with House of experiments designed a special bicycle with low gravity center, which was then carefully placed on the wire, using an elevator. So every person who was eager to experience scientific adventure with a touch of adrenaline had a chance to ride a bicycle across Ljubljanica on a wire.
